The first being to create at least one card or project a day, and the second being to share them with you. I have loved being in my stamp studio and look forward everyday to making my cup of tea and heading downstairs to see what I feel like creating. The past few days have been quite productive and I would like to share a peek of what I accomplished! I have SO MUCH patterned paper and love using it in my cards. This first project I used a sheet of Bazzill cardstock to create the base of the cute card holder and inside there are five coordinating cards. With some coordinating papers, a few stamps and embellishments and you have a great gift for anyone, any occasion. I love how it turned out, I hope you do too.
I am going to be spending the entire day in my stamp studio so hopefully I will have lots to share with you over the next few days. Here are a couple close ups of the project I showed the other day. I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks, a few Tim Holtz stamps, some Ranger UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel), a page out of an old poem book that I had in my ephemera bin, as well as a Prima flower, a few mica tiles and some scrap ribbon I had.

Here is a card I made the other day and just hadn't had a chance to post it yet. I'm sending this one out so I wanted to make sure I grabbed a pic of it first. I used Bazzill cardstock along with some of my favorite Chatterbox papers that I bought at a garage sale last summer. I went there to look at a Cricut Expression but ended up buying over 400 sheets of Bazzill cardstock, tons of Chatterbox papers and kits and some Stazon Opaque White ink pads with refills for only $40 total!!! I believe that was my sale of the summer! Loved it!

I had such good intentions to keep up with my blog and time just seems to pass me by before I know it. In some cases, as with my dear husband Ronnie being in Afghanistan, I want the time to fly by so he can come home to us again. But in other cases, I look back and realize that time ran out on the things I had hoped to do. Visiting my Aunts & Uncles, cousins and friends is one of those things.

My Uncle Francis passed away today. I hadn't seen him in years and I regret the time lost. Even though I know I am much older, I still feel like that young girl that couldn't wait to visit my Aunt Dalene and Uncle Francis in Cedar Rapids for a week during the summer! I always had so much fun and truth be told - usually got whatever I asked for. :) (Like wanting to go rollerskating even though my cousin Lorie was grounded - we got to go, of course!) Unfortunately, when we were home for Christmas we didn't get a chance to see much of the extended family. I had hoped a visit this summer would correct that.

In my mind, as crazy as it sounds, I still see my Aunts and Uncles as they age they were then. I don't think of them as being older now, more fragile, less resilient. Truth be told, I see my parents that way as well. It's easier that way. My parents are so full of life and hopefully I have many, MANY years before I have to feel the sorrow that a few of my cousins have had to feel. I cannot imagine and I am in no way prepared to start.

If there is a silver lining, today's news got me back into my stamp studio. I felt a great need to get inky fingers and create mindlessly, with no idea of where my journey would take me. Earlier today I had visited an enormous flea market in Nashville and found a huge bundle of shipping tags that were calling my name. I grabbed those, my Tim Holtz distress inks and started to play. The tag below is the result of a couple hours of soul comforting creativity.

Before, a blank shipping tag... and now......with a bit more soul.

My apologies for the poor pictures, but at least you can get an idea. I will try to post a few close up pics tomorrow with some of the details of what supplies I used. As many of you know I love my Ranger products and am very happy when I am smack dab in the middle of them and COVERED in all the colors! :)

So with very stained finger and chamomile tea consumed, I bid you all good night....

May the wings of angels wrap around all tonight who have lost a loved one.....
Oh - if you don't have either of these dies, but have the 'Storybook' Cricut Cartridge, you are in luck. I was flipping through the handbook for that cartridge and found the shape along with a couple of others that might work!

I think it's time that I get back into it as I have my craft room set up now in my new home. All my goodies are calling my name and I think I need to listen to them.

Hopefully I will have some cards to show you later today or tomorrow!Debihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08335782601281186541noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1055460065368434022.post-14330440147646595452009-03-10T22:12:00.005-04:002009-03-10T22:23:45.534-04:00As promised....Here are a couple of the cards we did last night in my One Page Wonder Class. As most of you know Dragonfly Rubber Stamps & Gifts has closed it's doors. This has been a very difficult time for me as I loved the store and all the people that I have met through it. I made wonderful friends and many of you have become like family to me. It's through your encouragement and inspiration that I am continuing to teach and design. I thank all of you for that. You may never know just how much.

Check back again this evening for a sneak peek at a One Page Wonder Class that I taught last night to some FABULOUS ladies! We had so much fun and I enjoyed designing the cards. See you later this evening! :)Debihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08335782601281186541noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1055460065368434022.post-43371935670536454412009-01-20T17:14:00.010-05:002009-01-20T18:01:58.913-05:00One Page Wonderful...While at Winterfest I taught one of my One Page Wonder classes. This is where we take one double-sided 12x12 printed paper, some coordinating cardstock, a few stamps and a couple of ink pads and create anywhere from 8 to 12 cards.

For this class I created the eight cards below using paper from KaiserCraft, Versafine Onyx Black Inkpad, Adirondack Stream Inkpad, the Cuttlebug and embellishments.

The ladies seemed to love the class...I hope you enjoy the cards as well.

<img style="cursor:pointer; There were twelve of us that participated and each one of us took a puzzle home in our chosen theme. I decided to go with a color theme - turquoise, black & white. All of us completed two pieces of each theme. Other themes included London, Old Time Photos, Flowers, Medallions, Vintage Halloween, Water, Woodlands, Lime & Turquoise, Christmas, Under the Sea and Eyes. Each puzzle turned out beautifully and showed the diversity of the artists. I look forward to doing it again next year. I already have my theme picked out! :)Debihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08335782601281186541noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1055460065368434022.post-35370449610742695042009-01-19T13:00:00.002-05:002009-01-19T13:07:19.775-05:00Zzzzzzzzzz.........Is it morning already....do I have to go to school today, Mom??? Please can I stay home and sleep???.......I did not want to wake up today, and I just may be taking a long nap very soon.

We had so much fun this weekend and I can't wait to share it all with you. But I am seriously sleep deprived and I want to make sure I'm not writing jibberish and uploading pictures that came with the computer instead of ones that I took while there.

I didn't take as many pictures as intended. Time flies and you are having so much fun. But thankfully Kathryn took some pictures and as soon as I can get over to her place and get them uploaded to her computer I will share those. But in the meantime, I hope to have a couple of pics uploaded later by sometime tonight. At least a couple of pictures of the puzzle exchange that William and I were a part of, and my cards from the class I took.

Okay - nap time, hopefully I will be back later with some pics....Debihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08335782601281186541noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1055460065368434022.post-52297023571788031192009-01-12T14:27:00.002-05:002009-01-12T14:39:25.654-05:00Here it is...<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5goOCU1NW39Ktue6BWFxUIciBsLnbEIyoB8Oj7-pdOAHbOPJ3Bvc15lCQKopGoUjAIuOcmyi5DrMt9EmdEhwnyNoThy537sLTbqCOJHa_M-BxOGuGeXiSN-xkoYNfHMa1tKXtJBe2KsvK/s320/Get+Wella+Bella+1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5290492231200106546" />

Here is the peek I promised I would post of one of my other Bella Cards from the class Saturday. I hope all of you enjoyed the cards that we made as well as the portfolio. I had intentions of posting the full cards here tonight, but it seems that there is enough interest for a second class, so that will have to wait. We have scheduled a repeat class for Sunday, January 25th at 1:00. Maybe tomorrow I will post a little peek of one of the other cards.

I'm not sure how it happened, considering I didn't make any of the cards today, but I seem to have come home adorned in glitter. I'm sure all of you are completely surprised to hear this! :)

Thank you ladies for taking the class. I had a wonderful time, as always!Debihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08335782601281186541noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1055460065368434022.post-45008927316765154062009-01-08T14:57:00.006-05:002009-01-08T18:49:51.710-05:00Sneak Peek...Just a quick note to tease you about my class, Girly Bella Portfolio, this Saturday, January 10th @ 11:00am at Dragonfly Rubber Stamps. Here is a sneak peek at two of the cards. We will be making 4 cards and an adorable little portfolio to put them in. They make a great gift to give a girlfriend OR maybe you will just find them too cute and want to keep them for yourself! :)

Here is the first peek:

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtJjHQMYxJ5DW5jfZ39EpLLMe4RbN3eFdGNHaRirbWXkJxpnJQy1YskPTCwq2Vnhjk-2FhO7iJmrrXPZAvjMmeU8V9N-FGx4y0LmTkG10vGfAUtF-DCBLyzyqpLww3tN1_0Ju2LmZ4X4Tp/s320/Bella1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5289022837276002402" />

and the second...

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBHxzH9jh6sljwKpdI5uPhjsUMT2TCXqvTFqCS8ToxpGOmBB0cncaqHpUiz2nXm7-bWBK_lxDyOq1mARfTFSXBHbHPrX2PaGjApUewIHbFlT_MmGjkkM8ftLcGJT9cE6PSxd7ZNKI6izFA/s320/bella2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5289023245955424274" /></aDebihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08335782601281186541noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1055460065368434022.post-63716741966827025702009-01-07T12:31:00.004-05:002009-01-07T22:29:19.736-05:00My Little Corner of the WorldWelcome to my new blog where I hope to share with you my creativity and inspirations.
